Stenergard: Sweden continues to stand by Ukraine
Stockholm, December 27 (Hibya) – Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard reiterated her country’s support for Ukraine, stating that Russia is not seeking peace.
Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard said that Russia launched a large-scale attack in Kyiv targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
Stating that her thoughts are with the citizens left without electricity and heating, as well as with the victims, Stenergard said: “With this large-scale attack carried out ahead of the meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Russia once again showed that it is not seeking peace.”
Stenergard confirmed that Sweden will continue to stand by Ukraine.
