Sudan launches 10-day vaccination campaign
Geneva, June 12 (Hibya) – The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that Sudan has launched a 10-day vaccination campaign to help stop a major cholera outbreak in Khartoum.
In a statement from WHO, it was stated that Sudan launched a 10-day vaccination campaign to help curb the large cholera outbreak in Khartoum.
The statement noted that following the initial round of vaccinations earlier this month, the Ministry of Health, with support from WHO and UNICEF, aims to protect an additional 2.6 million people from the disease.
