Swedish PM Kristersson meets NATO Secretary General Rutte
Stockholm, June 13 (Hibya) – Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Prime Minister Kristersson met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte ahead of the NATO Hague Summit to hold important discussions.
Kristersson stated that the new security situation, Russia’s illegal war, and threats to its peaceful neighbors require greater efforts in deterrence and defense by the allies: "We want to see a new defense spending target of 5%, with at least 3.5% allocated to core military expenditures. Sweden is ready to take responsibility, including by continuing its strong support for Ukraine."
