Sybiha: The war began in Crimea, it will end there, and Crimea will return to Ukraine
Kyiv, February 26 (Hibya) - Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha issued a message on the occasion of the Day of Resistance to the Russian Occupation of Crimea.
In his message for the Day of Resistance to the Russian Occupation of Crimea, Foreign Minister Sybiha stated: "For 11 years, Russia has been turning the Ukrainian peninsula into a military base and a prison: silencing opponents, oppressing the Crimean Tatars, banning the Mejlis, and erasing Ukrainian identity. But resistance never stopped."
Sybiha emphasized that Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars challenge the occupiers, risking arrest for opposing the regime, and added: "Russian aggression began in Crimea and will end there. Crimea will return to Ukraine. We will never abandon this goal. It is an essential element for security and peace in Europe."
