The countdown for the 2nd International Digital Film Festival Istanbul has begun
The 2nd International Digital Film Festival Istanbul (DFFI) is preparing to meet film lovers for the second time from October 17 to 24.
The countdown for the 2nd International Digital Film Festival Istanbul, which will meet with cinema enthusiasts for the second time from October 17 to 24, has begun. The short film festival is organized by the New York-based Digital Film Academy, and actress Hale Soygazi will chair the main jury. At the Award Ceremony, which will take place on October 24 with Doğuş University as the main partner and Hibya News Agency as the media sponsor, the awards determined by the Main Jury will find their recipients.
The festival supports an innovative perspective on digital film production and viewing in the increasingly digitalized film industry, encouraging all short filmmakers who have succeeded in creating strong stories and original works using any equipment with a digital camera, and aims to honor and make visible the works of talented independent filmmakers.
During the festival week, 22 finalist films from 9 countries will be screened for free at various locations in Istanbul. The 2nd DFFI will kick off on October 17-18 with screenings and discussions at the Çekmeköy Municipality's Crea Center, the meeting point of the creative industry.
On October 23, screenings will take place at Doğuş University's Dudullu Campus, the main partner of the festival. The Award Ceremony will be held on October 24 at the Barış Manço Cultural Center of the Kadıköy Municipality, with Hibya News Agency as the media sponsor.
