Thousands celebrate attack on Israel in Tehran
Stockholm, April 14 (Hibya) - Thousands of people in Tehran took to the streets to celebrate the news that Iranian forces had launched an air strike against Israel.
For many Iranians, the news that their country had launched an attack against Israel was enough. Large crowds arrived in central Tehran on Saturday evening, celebrating even before there was any information about the success of the attack.
According to reports on Sunday night, Iran fired a total of around 300 cruise missiles, ballistic weapons and drones at Israel in an attack that lasted an estimated five hours.
Iran has previously threatened retaliatory strikes against Israel following Israel's April 1 missile attack on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus.
