Trump: Adjustments will be made to countries' subsidies to benefit America
Washington, February 18 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump announced that they have decided to impose reciprocal tariffs to ensure fairness in trade.
President Trump stated that the United States will impose the same tariffs on other countries as they impose on the U.S.
Trump said: "Under this U.S. policy, countries using the Value Added Tax (VAT) system will be treated similarly to tariffs, as VAT is more punitive than a tariff. Sending any products or goods through third countries to harm the U.S. economy will not be allowed. Additionally, adjustments will be made to subsidies provided by countries to secure an economic advantage for America."
