U.S. President Donald Trump announced that an agreement had been reached with the Islamic Republic of Iran and that the process had been completed.

Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz, which is of critical importance to global maritime transportation, has been opened to free passage and that commercial vessels in the region will return to normal operations.

The statement also emphasized that restrictions related to maritime operations have been lifted and that “oil flows must resume.” Trump described the agreement as “an important development for international trade.”
