Trump vows to resolve international disputes
Washington, July 19 (Hibya) - Donald Trump addressed the Republican National Convention Thursday night and formally accepted the party's presidential nomination. He pledged to improve energy and the economy in the United States and resolve international disputes.

Trump's speech lasted more than an hour and a half, and the guests at the national convention gave him a rousing ovation. Trump criticized Joe Biden's tenure and accused the Democrats of a witch hunt in connection with the accusations against him.

Trump said that if he had become president instead of Biden, he could have prevented Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the war between Israel and Hamas. Promising to end international strife in his speech, Trump claimed he could stop the war with a simple phone call.
Trump said he felt the assassin's bullet in his ear, was covered by Secret Service agents and narrowly escaped being killed. “God was on my side,” Trump told the crowd.
Expressing condolences for the victims of the assassination attempt, Trump made special mention of firefighter Corey Comperatore. The firefighter's uniform was displayed on stage at the national convention, and Trump stopped his speech to kiss the firefighter's helmet.
