Trump's special envoy for Ukraine believes the conflict will end soon
Washington, January 9 (Hibya) - Keith Kellogg, appointed as the special envoy for Ukraine by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, believes the Ukraine crisis will be resolved in the near future.
According to Kellogg in an interview with Fox News, the Trump administration "plans to create conditions that allow the president to talk to Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky."
"I think they will reach an acceptable solution in the near future," said Kellogg, adding, "We need to ensure that this solution is strong and sustainable and that this conflict ends," which is in the interest of U.S. national security and the international community.
The special envoy also said that Trump "will not give anything to Putin or Russia, he wants to save Ukraine and its sovereignty." He added, "After January 20, after the presidential inauguration, we will learn more."
Kellogg also noted that "President Biden's biggest mistake was never speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin after the conflict began."
