New York, March 26 (Hibya) – United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk stated that the human rights situation in Haiti has reached another crisis point.
Commissioner Türk emphasized that the human rights situation in Haiti has escalated to a new level of crisis.
Highlighting that gangs are joining forces to spread terror with heavy weapons, Türk said: “The flow of illegal weapons into the country must be stopped. The people of Haiti cannot be forgotten. Their suffering must come to an end.”
