According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), mining and quarrying sector production increased by 2.2 percent, manufacturing industry sector production decreased by 0.4 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 0.9 percent on an annual basis in May.

When the subsectors of the industry were examined, mining and quarrying index decreased by 3.9 percent, manufacturing index increased by 2.1 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased by 1.0 percent in May 2024, compared with the previous month.
