Ukraine: Russia broke its own ceasefire promise 2,935 times
Kyiv, April 21 (Hibya) – Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Russia broke its own ceasefire promise 2,935 times in just 30 hours.
In a statement, the ministry said that Russia broke its own ceasefire promise 2,935 times in just 30 hours.
The statement noted that from 6:00 p.m. on April 19 to midnight on April 21, Russia had pledged to halt all military actions for Easter:
“However, the reality on the ground was completely different. Russia launched a total of 96 attack attempts, fired 1,882 artillery rounds at Ukrainian positions — 812 of them with heavy weapons — and used FPV drones over 950 times. The heaviest attacks were in the direction of Pokrovsk. No ceasefire. No truth. This is the reality behind Russia’s promises.”
The statement emphasized that Ukraine’s stance remains unchanged: “We respond to silence with silence, and to attacks with defense. Actions speak louder than words.”
