At Easter, Christians typically exchange dyed eggs, Easter bread, chocolate bunnies, and egg-shaped chocolates, in addition to attending religious services.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha said: "Today, I wish a happy Easter to all Christians who celebrate, and to all Ukrainians both in our homeland and around the world – wherever they may be gathering at Easter tables."

Sybiha noted that Ukraine’s traditional Easter eggs represent all regions of the country, and added: "A whole, united, and free Ukraine – that is our people’s greatest wish. The resurrection of the Lord is the greatest source of hope. Today, as we pray together, the Ukrainian people’s greatest desire is to restore peace and normal life to our land. Millions living in war and insecurity are praying for peace."
