Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha was received in Baku by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Sybiha stated that an open and detailed discussion was held on key issues of Ukraine–Azerbaijan bilateral relations and the international agenda. “We focused in particular on how to end Russian aggression and achieve a just and lasting peace,” he said.

He thanked President Aliyev for Azerbaijan’s support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for the humanitarian and energy aid provided during the winter months. “We discussed the next steps in advancing the Ukraine–Azerbaijan strategic partnership,” Sybiha added.

Azerbaijan’s participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference scheduled to be held in Rome on July 10–11 this year will be important in this regard.
