UN: Around 18,000 people remain homeless after earthquakes in Venezuela
New York, July 21 (Hibya) – The United Nations (UN) announced that despite weeks having passed since the earthquakes in Venezuela, around 18,000 people remain homeless and humanitarian assistance efforts are continuing.
The UN issued a statement on the ongoing humanitarian response following the earthquakes in Venezuela.
A post shared on the UN's social media account stated that despite weeks having passed since the earthquakes, around 18,000 people are still homeless.
The statement added that the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) continues its field operations.
Teams continue delivering relief supplies, protection services, psychosocial support and other essential humanitarian assistance to families affected by the earthquake.
