UN: Clashes in eastern Congo Republic lead to mass displacement

The UN reported that violent fighting in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, along with gender-based violence and other abuses, is leading to significant suffering and mass displacement.
In its statement, the UN said: "As the crisis deepens, the UN and other humanitarian organizations require urgent and safe access to deliver emergency aid."
