UN: Drought, desertification, and land degradation pose threats to humanity
New York, December 2 (Hibya) – The United Nations (UN) reported that drought, desertification, and land degradation are growing threats to humanity.
The UN stated that drought, desertification, and land degradation are increasingly significant threats to humanity.
The statement added that this week, governments, businesses, and civil society will convene at COP16 in Riyadh to discuss solutions for land restoration and a sustainable future.
The 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) will take place from December 2 to 13 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
