UN High Commissioner for Refugees Grandi Calls for Support to UNRWA
Geneva, October 29 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi announced that he supports UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres's call for the continuation of UNRWA's work in Palestinian territories.
UN High Commissioner for Refugees Grandi stated that he joins UN Secretary-General Guterres’s call for the continuation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Grandi said, “Otherwise, millions of Palestinians will be deprived of essential support, including education and health services, which only UNRWA has the mandate and capacity to provide.”
