New York, July 8 (Hibya) – The United Nations (UN) reported that migrant smugglers exploit vulnerable people trying to escape crises.
In a statement from the UN, it was noted that migrant smuggling constitutes the illegal practice of transporting migrants or other individuals across borders for profit.
The statement emphasized that smugglers exploit the most vulnerable people trying to escape crises and that “the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is working to end all forms of human trafficking.”
