New York, September 2 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that the polio vaccination campaign in the central regions of Gaza has entered its second day.
In a statement, UNRWA indicated that the polio vaccination campaign in the central regions of Gaza entered its second day, stating, "On the first day alone, UNRWA teams and their partners reached approximately 87,000 children according to WHO."
The statement emphasized that efforts to provide this important vaccine to children continue, but a ceasefire is most needed.
