Violent clashes in Pakistan after Hezbollah leader's assassination
Stockholm, September 30 (Hibya) - Violent clashes have erupted in Pakistan following protests in Lebanon following the killing of Hezbollah leader by Israel.
Members of Jamaat-e-Islami gathered in the city centre of Beirut on Friday to protest the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by Israel. On Sunday, protesters clashed with Pakistani security forces in Karachi after being blocked from marching to the U.S. consulate.
Nasrallah, who has been linked to a number of deadly attacks on Israeli and Jewish targets by Israel, has been on Israel's hit list for decades.
His assassination is the largest and most significant targeted killing by Israel in years and a significant escalation of the war in the Middle East.
