Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

It was reported that both WFP and UNICEF condemned the attack on the joint aid convoy near Al Koma in North Darfur.

“Five people in the convoy were killed and several others injured. Numerous trucks were burned, and vital humanitarian supplies were damaged. The convoy of 15 trucks was trying to deliver life-saving food and nutrition supplies to children and families in El Fasher affected by famine,” the statement said.

The statement emphasized that such attacks constitute violations of international humanitarian law: “We call for an urgent investigation and accountability for those responsible. We express our condolences to the families of the victims and send our support to the injured. It is devastating that this aid did not reach the vulnerable children and families who needed it.”

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell added: “In the horrific attack on the WFP/UNICEF aid convoy in Sudan, five mission members who were trying to deliver food and nutrition to famine-stricken children and families in El Fasher were killed. Our hearts are with their loved ones. Humanitarian workers must never be targeted.”
