Wildfires in California: 100 volunteers set out to help animals
California, August 2 (Hibya)—As the fight against the raging wildfires that have engulfed parts of California continues, nearly 100 volunteers are on the road to help needy animals whose owners have been evacuated.
The California fires, collectively known as the Park Fire, are being blamed on a prolonged drought, a heat wave, and, most importantly, unpredictable wind conditions, among other causes.
The fires are described as the fifth largest ever in California regarding hectares burned.
