Foreign Minister Wong emphasized that they will continue efforts to close the gender pay gap, support flexible work arrangements, including remote work, and build more social and affordable housing.

She also stated that they will continue working to eliminate gender-based violence, close gaps in the tax, pension, and social security systems exploited by offenders, and provide new funding to target high-risk harassers, saying:

“This is built on the $4 billion we have set aside to support victims and survivors, take tough action against perpetrators, and change systems that let women down. The choice in this election is clear: A Labor Government under Albanese that will benefit women, or Peter Dutton, who will make the situation worse for Australian women.”
