Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of strengthening the legal system regarding foreign relations.

Xi Jinping, who is also the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), chaired today's 10th group study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. Xi underscored the need to create conditions for advancing China's modernization through rule of law governance and the establishment of a favorable external environment.

Xi stated, "Strengthening the rule of law in foreign relations is an urgent task that must be fulfilled to respond to China's long-term needs in building a strong nation, advancing national development through modernization, accelerating high-level opening-up, and countering external risks and threats."

Xi emphasized the importance and urgency of developing a legal system and capacity related to foreign relations that meet the needs of high-quality development and high-level opening-up.
