Zelenski complains that the EU has not provided the promised aid to Kiev
Moscow, July 22 (Hibya) - According to the Ukrainian newspaper Strana, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski complained that the EU has not provided the promised aid to Kiev.
Zelenski said, "The EU opened the possibility of receiving 150 billion. Union countries can commit to transferring this money to Ukraine. Ten countries are ready to receive this money, but we do not see any results from receiving and transferring it to us."
Zelenski also added that this raises questions for NATO and the EU.
Last week, European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius told Bloomberg that the EU cannot directly finance the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine from its own budget, so the European Commission may force EU countries to use the 150 billion euro pan-European credit fund for joint military purchases to free up their own funds for weapon purchases for Kiev.
