Zelensky: 307 more Ukrainian soldiers returned home
Kyiv, May 24 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 307 more Ukrainian soldiers returned from Russia today as part of a prisoner exchange mediated by Türkiye.
Zelensky stated that a total of 697 Ukrainians have been released in the two-day process conducted under the “1,000 for 1,000” exchange plan.
Among those released today are members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the State Border Guard Service, and the National Guard.
Zelensky added, “I thank everyone who contributed to the exchange process and worked around the clock. Our goal is to bring back all of our citizens held by Russia. We continue to cooperate with our international partners toward that goal.”
