Zelensky: Attacks on Kharkiv ignore calls for diplomacy
Kyiv, June 11 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding the Russian airstrike on the city of Kharkiv.
Zelensky stated that civilian areas were targeted during the nighttime attack, with 64 people injured, including 9 children, and 3 people killed. He extended condolences to the families of the victims.
He noted that numerous fires broke out in the city following the attack, but the State Emergency Service teams quickly brought the situation under control.
Zelensky emphasized that they face new Russian attacks almost every day, saying: “Every attack by Russia targeting civilian life proves once again that the current international pressure is insufficient.”
Calling on the international community, especially the United States and other world leaders, he stressed: “Everyone calling to stop the killing and start real diplomacy must now act.”
