Zelensky: Bringing our citizens back is one of our main goals
Kyiv, May 22 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that bringing back all Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity is one of Ukraine’s main objectives.
President Zelensky announced that he held a meeting regarding preparations for a prisoner exchange.
He noted that perhaps the most tangible result of the meeting held in Türkiye was the agreement to release one thousand Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity, and said:
"We are working to bring this result to life. Reports on contacts with the Russian side were presented. Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is responsible for organizing the process and implementing the agreement. Details are being clarified regarding each person listed by the Russian side."
Zelensky emphasized that bringing back all Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity is one of Ukraine’s main goals.
