Zelensky: Russia must stop the war, the attacks, and the bombings
Kyiv, May 4 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that they are ready to move toward a ceasefire if Russia is willing to take reciprocal steps.
Zelensky said Ukraine is preparing for important foreign policy meetings and negotiations.
He emphasized that the main issue is whether Ukraine's partners can persuade Russia to agree to a full ceasefire, adding: “Currently, there is no sign of such readiness in Russia. On the contrary, their internal rhetoric is becoming increasingly mobilized. Russian propagandists continue threatening not only Ukraine but also other neighbors. Without pressure on Moscow, Russia will continue the war.”
Zelensky stated: “If Russia is willing to take reciprocal steps, we are ready to move toward a ceasefire. At least 30 days of a lasting ceasefire – that is a reasonable timeframe to prepare next steps. Russia must stop the war, the attacks, and the bombings.”
