Zelensky spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu by phone
Kyiv, January 28 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ukrainian President Zelensky announced that he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During the conversation, Zelensky described his participation in the events marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and expressed his condolences to Netanyahu and the people of Israel for the Holocaust tragedy. He said:
"I welcomed the start of hostage releases, emphasized the importance of people returning home and reuniting with their families, and expressed hope for the swift release of all remaining hostages. Ensuring a reliable and lasting peace so that people can live in safety is of vital importance."
Zelensky also noted that during the conversation, they discussed maintaining close contact with partners, particularly the United States and President Trump. "We discussed current bilateral issues and agreed to continue close contacts in the near future," he added.
