Zelensky said the meeting was productive, thanked Canada for its support to Ukraine, and emphasized the importance of friendly relations between the two countries.

“I am grateful for Canada's support. We truly value having you by our side as a real friend of Ukraine,” said Zelensky, adding that they discussed the steps needed to achieve lasting peace.

Zelensky highlighted that increasing pressure on Russia to end the war was a top priority during the meeting. The two leaders also discussed defense cooperation and the development of the "Volunteers’ Coalition." Zelensky expressed gratitude for the G7 Summit invitation and said he looked forward to attending.

At the end of his speech, Zelensky invited Prime Minister Mark Carney to visit Ukraine and said they would be pleased to welcome him soon.
