Zelensky: We are continuing our pressure policy on Russia's tanker fleet
Kyiv, June 19 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that they are continuing their pressure policy on Russia’s tanker fleet.
Zelensky announced that he held a meeting regarding sanction policy and joint restrictive measures against Russia with partners and reached agreement on certain decisions.
He emphasized that there must be full synchronization between Ukraine’s national sanctions and those of its partners: “The European Union’s and other global actors’ sanction packages must fully align with Ukraine’s national sanction decisions.”
Zelensky said they are continuing the pressure policy on Russia’s tanker fleet, and added:
“We reviewed new sanction approaches aimed at making it harder for Russia to prolong the war. This particularly involves financial instruments, cryptocurrencies, payment schemes, and the supply of components and equipment used in weapons production for Russia. I have instructed the expansion of options to support new sanction decisions through parliamentary diplomacy, civil society leaders, and the corporate sector.”
He concluded: “The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, intelligence services, and the National Bank of Ukraine must ensure more tangible results in implementing sanction pressure on Russia and its collaborators.”
