Al-Thani and German Chancellor Merz meet in Doha
Doha, February 5 (Hibya) – Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz co-chaired the Qatar–German Business Roundtable held in Doha.

In his opening remarks, Al-Thani welcomed the German chancellor and the accompanying delegation, reaffirming that the foundations of cooperation between the two countries are solid.
Noting that Qatar has focused in recent years on strengthening relations with Germany, Prime Minister Al-Thani stated that through the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), his country has succeeded in becoming one of the largest foreign investors in Germany.
