Albares: I salute the courage of Iranian women
Madrid, Jan. 12 (Hibya) — Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said he supports Iranian women fighting for their freedoms.
Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares issued a statement regarding the ongoing protests in Iran and the people’s demands for fundamental rights.
Expressing his expectations of the Iranian authorities, Albares said: “We call on the Iranian government to respect all Iranians’ right to demonstrate and freedom of expression. Violence must stop.”
Highlighting in particular the struggle led by women, Minister Albares concluded: “I salute the courage of Iranian women who demonstrate for their rights and freedoms.”
