Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, Albares, noted that Spaniards have reached the greatest representation in their history in European and international institutions, adding: "These appointments speak to the quality of our representatives and Spain's growing weight in the concert of nations in recent years."

Albares also mentioned that in the coming years, Spain will host significant international events, noting: "The Development Financing Conference in 2025 and the Ibero-American Summit in 2026. Additionally, we are developing a new doctrinal body for foreign policy with leadership."
