Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand met with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi.

In a statement posted on her social media account, Anand said the two countries have given new momentum to their partnership built on 50 years of diplomatic relations.

Recalling that her visit to Muscat in May was the first official visit to Oman by a Canadian foreign minister in more than a decade, Anand said the work launched during those meetings is continuing.

Anand noted that Canada and Oman agreed to establish a more regular dialogue mechanism and expand bilateral cooperation across various fields. She added that Oman's diplomatic role in the region was also discussed during the meeting.

The statement emphasized the importance of strengthening peace, stability, and security in the Middle East and reiterated their shared support for international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
