Asian markets rise except for Nikkei
Istanbul, June 29 (Hibya) – Asian markets showed a mixed performance on the first trading day of the week.
Asian markets showed a mixed performance on the first trading day of the week. Stock markets in Australia, India, Hong Kong, and China posted gains, while Japan's market declined.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index (HSI) rose 2.13 percent to 23,153.89 points. In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 index gained 0.40 percent to trade at 8,799.50.
India's NIFTY 50 index advanced 0.16 percent to 24,093.30 points, while China's Shanghai Composite index increased 0.17 percent to 4,034.084 points.
Japan's Nikkei 225 index, however, fell 0.84 percent, ending the session at 68,781.28 points.
