Baghaei condemns three European countries and the US
Tehran, June 12 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that they condemn the instrumental use of the IAEA Board of Governors by three European countries and the US to cast doubt on the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.
According to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Baghaei rejected the allegations included in the IAEA Board resolution, which was based on a joint proposal by France, the UK, Germany, and the US, as well as the political report by the IAEA Director General. He described the move as unjust, baseless, and oppressive, aimed at forcing the Iranian nation to abandon its legitimate rights and interests in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Baghaei held the sponsors and architects of this unjust and destructive decision fully responsible for its consequences and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will take appropriate measures to protect the rights and interests of its people in the peaceful use of nuclear energy in response to this action.
The spokesperson expressed regret over the biased conduct of the IAEA Director General regarding Iran’s nuclear issue.
