Borrell: EU rejects attempts to legitimize the Turkish Cypriot separatist entity
Brussels, July 7 (Hibya) - The European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, said that the EU rejects attempts to legitimize the Turkish Cypriot separatist entity and recognizes only the Republic of Cyprus.
EU High Representative Borrell stated that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban did not receive authorization from the EU Council to represent the EU at the Organization of Turkic States summit, saying, “The EU rejects attempts to legitimize the Turkish Cypriot separatist entity and recognizes only the Republic of Cyprus.”
