Brussels, September 4 (Hibya)—The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, has rejected the arrest warrant against the Venezuelan opposition presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzalez.
The EU's High Representative, Borrell, rejected the arrest warrant against Venezuelan opposition presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzalez and called Venezuelan authorities to respect his freedom, integrity, and human rights.
Borrell noted that the pressure and harassment against the opposition and civil society are excessive, adding, "The will of the Venezuelan people must be respected."
