Borrell: Threats against Gonzalez and Machado are unacceptable
Brussels, July 31 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell stated that threats against Edmundo Gonzalez and María Corina Machado regarding the elections in Venezuela are unacceptable.
Borrell said that Venezuelan authorities must end the detentions, pressure, and violent rhetoric against opposition members. Borrell said: "Threats against Edmundo Gonzalez and María Corina Machado are unacceptable. Authorities and security forces must ensure respect for human rights."
