British MP Suspended from Party Due to Violent Behavior
London, 28 October (Hibya) - A British Labour Party MP has been suspended from his party after being seen punching a man in the street.
In video footage, MP Mike Amesbury can be heard shouting, "You’re never going to threaten an MP again, are you?"
Footage from a nearby business shows two men exchanging words in the street, but there appears to be no sign of aggression or physical provocation before the MP throws the first punch.
Last night, his party announced the suspension of Amesbury after he was voluntarily questioned by police as part of "precautionary measures," and calls for his resignation or exclusion from Parliament have been made.
