Budrys: Our bond with Germany is stronger than ever
Vilnius, October 3 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys issued a message on the occasion of German Unity Day.
Budrys said October 3 serves as a reminder that the values of freedom, determination and unity can change the course of history, and congratulated German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul and the German people on Unity Day.
Budrys said Lithuania continues its relations with Germany as a strategic partner, NATO ally and reliable friend, noting that the bond between the two countries is strong.
Referring also to Germany's decision to permanently deploy a brigade in Lithuania, Budrys said the move represents a commitment to the shared security of the two countries and demonstrates allied solidarity.
Budrys said Europe's security, as well as freedom and prosperity, can be strengthened when countries act together, adding that efforts would continue for a secure, resilient and prosperous Europe.
