Bulgaria aims to complete technical phase of OECD accession by year-end
Sofia, July 10 (Hibya) - Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Acting Foreign Minister Mariya Petrova discussed Bulgaria's accession process to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) with OECD Accession Coordinator Gita Kothari.

According to the ministry, the meeting reviewed Bulgaria's progress in its OECD accession process. The statement noted that OECD membership remains a strategic priority for Bulgaria and that the technical phase of the accession process is targeted for completion by the end of the year.
It also emphasized the importance of strong coordination among Bulgarian institutions and close cooperation with the OECD Secretariat in order to achieve this goal. The statement added that OECD membership will contribute to strengthening governance, increasing investor confidence, improving the business environment, and aligning Bulgaria with international standards and best practices.
