Canada provides $5 million in aid to Nepal after devastating floods
Ottawa, September 1 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand spoke with Nepalese Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal following the devastating floods in Nepal.

During the conversation, Anand conveyed Canada’s condolences and messages of solidarity to the people of Nepal. The Canadian Foreign Minister said Canada’s thoughts are with everyone affected by the floods, as well as the families of 30 Canadians who remain missing in the country.
Canada decided to provide $5 million in aid to Nepal following the floods. Anand also announced that further support is being prepared for recovery efforts in communities severely affected by the disaster.
During the meeting, the two countries agreed to closely monitor developments and remain in contact.
