Ottawa, October 4 (Hibya) - Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand commemorated missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people.

In a statement on her social media account, Anand said there are organizations in Oakville that create space for Indigenous communities to make their voices heard, support healing processes and carry out community work.
Anand said they stand with families and survivors, adding: “We continue to listen, learn and work toward meaningful change.”
