Carney: More than 12 million Canadians to receive support payments
Ottawa, October 5 (Hibya) - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that payments under the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit will be deposited into the bank accounts of more than 12 million Canadians.

Carney said in a social media post that this year a family of four will be able to receive up to 1,890 Canadian dollars through the benefit.
Carney said the payment would help cover everyday living expenses and added that the support would begin to be deposited into bank accounts as of today.
