Cassis: International organizations must become more visible to our citizens
Bern, May 15 (Hibya) - Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis made assessments regarding his high-level contacts with leaders of international organizations.
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis reported that they held a productive meeting with Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi, OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu, and Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset.
Providing information about the topics discussed during the meeting, Cassis said, “In our discussions, we addressed current challenges to security and democracy in Europe, including support for Ukraine, protecting election integrity, and countering foreign information manipulation.”
Emphasizing the importance of coordination between organizations, Cassis stated, “We also agreed on strengthening cooperation between the OSCE and the Council of Europe, avoiding duplication of work, and creating synergy.”
Cassis added, “International organizations must become more effective, more practical, and more visible to our citizens.”
